WebReact Hooks. Hooks were added to React in version 16.8. Hooks allow function components to have access to state and other React features. Because of this, class components are generally no longer needed. Although Hooks generally replace class components, there are no plans to remove classes from React. WebThe useMemo and useCallback Hooks are similar. The main difference is that useMemo returns a memoized value and useCallback returns a memoized function. You can learn more about useCallback in the useCallback chapter. Performance The useMemo Hook can be used to keep expensive, resource intensive functions from needlessly running.
